About Us
Early Intervention, Counseling, and Supportive Services are key to helping every child reach grow and develop in a meaningful way. According to the CDC, "The first 8 years can build a foundation for future learning, health, and success." The brain is strengthened by positive parenting, stimulation, and a supportive environment. Nutrition for the brain as well as nutrition for the body is extremely important during this time. The neural circuits in the brain, which create the foundations of health, behavior, and learning, are most flexible during the early years. High-quality intervention during this time can maximize a child's developmental path and improve the most positive outcomes for the child, the parents, the family, and the community.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy and Play Therapy are the basic components of the practice. Being kind, being present, and being supportive are the key ingredients to the successful relationship.
Elaine S. Laine, M.S.W., M.Ed., Licensed Independent Social Worker CP
Elaine S. Laine is a Licensed Independent Social Worker CP in the State of South Carolina. She holds a B.A. in Education from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst; an M.Ed. in Education/Special Education from Suffolk University in Boston; and an M.S.W from Boston College with a major in Casework. She has participated in thousands of hours of specialized training and courses. Her specialties are Early Intervention, Special Education, Family Counseling, Child Abuse & Neglect, Foster Care & Permanency Planning, and Family Preservation with a Dedication to keeping families together and thriving.
Our Goal
In our society, it should be a basic right and a necessity for each infant, child, and teenager to be given the means to reach their full potential. Too often our children fall "between the cracks". Parents and caregivers are often overwhelmed and not informed about many of the choices available to them.
